June 05, 2006 - SAN BERNARDINO, CA – The Hodgdon Group, a full-service real estate development, brokerage and construction management company based in San Bernardino, recently completed the development of Saddleback RV Center in Colton as part of an 81-acre, $50 million master-planned development project, which also includes Ashley Industries’ 850,000-square-foot warehouse and a 22,000-square-foot Canyon RV Center.
The $6.5 million Saddleback RV Center, located on 4.85 acres at 755 Ashley Way in Colton, consists of a 35,000-square-foot concrete tilt-up building with 16,900 square feet of offices, and 14 state-of-the-art, fully equipped service and detail bays. RKZ, Inc. of Tustin, Calif. was the architect. This is Saddleback RV Center’s second location. The company currently has another location in Irvine.
According to Michael Sebastian, owner of Saddleback RV Center, “The Hodgdon Group was instrumental in every aspect of our project – from land acquisition and entitlements, to design and construction management. With U.S. ownership of RVs reaching record levels, our new site is well located to capitalize on this rapidly growing marketplace.” Sebastian is planning a Grand Opening celebration the weekend of July 22, 2006.
East Valley Land Company, a Hodgdon and Jacques Yeager joint venture, sold the land to Saddleback RV Center, Ashley Industries and Canyon RV, and coordinated all planning, entitlement and construction for each individual owner. Canyon RV opened in 2004 and Ashley Industries’ Phase I opened in 2002 and Phase II opened in 2005. Saddleback RV Center opened last month.
“We worked diligently with the City of Colton to master-plan this development and are quite pleased with the outstanding results. Upon completion, the project will have approximately 970,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space built out,” says Hodgdon.
