September 18, 2008 - Hillsborough, NC – The HSG is excited to announce The Shops at Daniel Boone will sponsor a Cruise-in starting at 5:00pm and lasting into the evening hours. The Bull City Street Rod Association of Durham, NC will host the event. Live music at Boone Square will be provided by The Magnificents. A DJ will provide music at The Big Barn. Other activities and door prizes are planned for the cruise-in participants. There will be a HSG fund-raising half & half drawing for everyone.
Come to The Shops at Daniel Boone and check out these sweet rides. Come early and shop late! Merchants are extending their hours and invite you to visit them. Come experience the South Churton District at its finest!

The main event! The “2nd Annual Celebration of the Automobile & Racers Reunion” will be held at the Historic Occoneechee Speedway and the surrounding grounds of support businesses on Elizabeth Brady Road.
Gates open at 8:00 am and welcome you all day. The event closes at 5:00 pm. The 2nd Annual Celebration of the Automobile & Racers Reunion is free to the public! This free event attracts the largest spectator crowd in Hillsborough. Join us and learn about the Historic Occoneechee Speedway. Join us and support our fund-raising efforts to restore and preserve this track; one of only three automobile racing surfaces listed on the National Historic Register! Join us and meet some of your favorite drivers, renowned car owners and members of celebrity racing families. Walk the track or the adjoining three miles of walking trails. Visit our rebuilt ticket office to view a portion of our historic collection of memorabilia. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your family to enjoy a day filled with racing history. Live music provided by the Castaways. We hope to see you at the track!
