- (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2016 - Barcelona - Aguilar y Salas, S.A., a company specialized in equipment design and construction for the chemical industry, oil & gas and fertilizers, has announced that they have been awarded the ASME U and U2 certificates which guarantee that their equipment manufactured in Brazil reaches the standards for maximum quality and durability. The same certification has already been awarded to Aguilar y Salas for its equipment manufactured in Spain at the production plant located in Les Franqueses del Vallès. These certificates confirm that Aguilar y Salas comply with all pressurization criteria required by international legislation.
"Aguilar y Salas, S.A. is a company committed to safety and compliance with international legislation as evidenced in every piece of equipment manufactured in Spain and Brazil. Obtaining the U and U2 ASME certificates is confirmation of the good work and security policies in place in the manufacturing process of the boilers and pressure vessels", explains Manuel Salas, Aguilar y Salas, S.A. CEO.
ASME, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, is an association of professionals around the world founded in the late 19th century which has created a global code of standards used for design, construction, inspection and testing of a variety of equipment, such as boilers and pressure vessels.
For Aguilar y Salas obtaining both certificates is a step towards the consolidation of the company in the American and the South American markets, increasing its presence in both continents thanks to removing the transport and export costs from Brazil to the United States. Aguilar y Salas, S.A. recently published its 2015 turnover, which reflects the success of the export process of the factory located in Suape, Brazil. The headquarters of the company in the South American country reached 21 million reals, compared to 4 million in 2014.
