August 13, 2009 - “We have always been committed to making a positive impact where we live and work,” says Nancy Poole, Assistant Vice President of The Forsyth Community Bank. “We encourage our employees to become involved in community projects and use their financial expertise to help support those in need.”
For the last five years the bank has participated in “Blue Jeans For Babies.” Employees buy a five dollar button that says they are allowed to wear blue jeans on Fridays. The money raised then goes toward the March of Dimes, whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
The bank raises money for “Blue Jeans For Babies” throughout the month of March for the walk that takes place in April. When customers make a contribution at the bank, they can write their name on a paper tennis shoe that goes on the wall.
“We place a high value on strong relationships in our community,” Poole says. “Our employees remain committed to providing financial support whenever we can.”
