January 16, 2009 - Tennis fans from the world over have their eyes set on Australia now for the year’s first Grand Slam which is to begin on the 19th of this month.
Bringing together the world class tennis talent this competition will have the stars vying for the title and prize money. While the staunch Nadal and Federer fans are still hoping their favourites to win, speculations are this time UK’s Andy Murray might take home the prize.
The women’s section will be missing the presence of Sharapova and Davenport but the Williams sisters and the the Serbs – will fight to decide whether the Women’s prize money will go to the US of A or will stay in Asia.
Then of course there are the Doubles competitions – which double the chances of the players to stay in the battle for a title.
More than just the grand spectacle that a Grand Slam obviously is, the tennis fans have a chance to experience a lot more in these 2 weeks.
