The Edcomm Group's Banker's Academy Presents At Marcus Evan’s Credit Risk Management Conference

The Edcomm Group’s Banker’s Academy presented a two-day workshop at the Corporate Credit Management conference sponsored by Marcus Evans in Seoul, Korea. The presentation was given by Marilyn McGowan, a Senior Client Services Manager at Edcomm’s Banker’s Academy, who addressed top Korean bankers about the importance of corporate credit risk management.


(1888PressRelease) February 11, 2008 - (NEW YORK, NY) - The Edcomm Group's Banker's Academy presented a two-day workshop at the Corporate Credit Management conference sponsored by Marcus Evans in Seoul, Korea. The presentation was given by Marilyn McGowan, a Senior Client Services Manager at Edcomm’s Banker’s Academy, who addressed top Korean bankers about the importance of corporate credit risk management. Corporate credit risk management is quickly becoming a hot topic in the international financial services industry.

Representatives from some of the most prestigious banks in Korea were present, including Bank of Korea, Kookmin Bank, Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank, Korea Exchange Bank, Korea First Bank, Hanil Bank and Seoul Bank.

Key topics at the conference included designing and implementing effective credit management, preparing credit planning techniques to develop and improve a credit system, protecting business, exploring trends in global credit management and integrating credit management, among others.

McGowan's responsibilities at Edcomm's Banker's Academy include International Banking Projects involving Session Facilitation and custom project engagements. Before joining Edcomm, McGowan was Senior Vice President at Deutsche Bank, where she led a 30-person International Project Management Office for special projects. McGowan worked for State Street Corporation in Boston for three years as a Vice President of Corporate Communications and for three years in a Master Trust Division working with corporations with accounts exceeding $1 billion. Before joining State Street, Marilyn was with The Chase Manhattan Bank where she spent five years in charge of Retail Asian Operations.
