The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy Gives Back To The Community By Going Back To School

The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy was invited to speak at Brandywine Wallace Elementary School about the importance of communication.

(1888PressRelease) February 12, 2008 - NEW YORK, NY - The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy was invited to speak at Brandywine Wallace Elementary School about the importance of communication. Stefanie Cutillo, Vice President of Development, addressed Mrs. Cathleen Weisser’s fifth grade class, demonstrating the need for effective communication techniques, using a number of activities that Edcomm Banker’s Academy uses to train its own personnel.

During her presentation, Cutillo demonstrated several portions of The Edcomm Group’s Banker’s Academy course entitled Communicate! Communicate! Communicate!, which includes hands-on activities to show that listening is an active task that must be free from distractions and that the goal of communication is to have a message reach the listener in the way it was intended.

Weisser stated, “As a teacher, I most appreciated how [Mrs. Cutillo] emphasized the wonderful connection between the workforce and language skills needed to be learned in school. This application was invaluable.”

The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy recognizes the value of branching out into the community and teaching younger generations about communication and plans to speak at other schools and organizations. Brandywine Wallace Elementary School has also invited The Edcomm Group Banker’s Academy to speak to other students, as the presentation was such a success.

Communicate! Communicate! Communicate! is an interactive course that starts with the foundation of communication: receiving communication from others, sending communication to others, using communication to build relationships and creating a world of ORBITALS (personal communication links) that require nurturing and attention. It proceeds to conducting and attending meetings, giving presentations and sending correspondences and then how to use communication to influence others, manage conflict and communicate across teams to meet the goals of the organization.
