The staff at the colored diamond exchange would like to wish all of our customers a great summer and safe travels with family and friends. Although the summer months are normally slower in the diamond business, it gives members of the trade time to take stock in what customers are looking for and to develop lines and styles for the busy fall season.
The National Colored Diamond Association (NCDIA) is revamping their website and format through the summer to meet the increasing needs of colored diamond consumers. Likewise, at the colored diamond exchange we have already begun working with a jewelry designer with a lot of experience dealing with colored diamonds and we are also working with a couple of new suppliers to continue to provide our customers with a wide variety of rare and beautiful intense, deep and vivid colored diamonds.
If you log onto our website you will see we have a wide variety of yellows, oranges, pinks and a small selection of blues and chameleons. These stones are extremely rare and tend to exist in smaller sizes. However, in the colored diamond market, bigger is not always better. As a recent article in The Robb Report indicated, you should buy the best quality you can afford and remember that sacrificing color for size is an important consideration.
