The Church of Scientology Salutes Community Volunteers

(1888PressRelease) April 07, 2016 - In the United States, National Volunteer Appreciation Month is celebrated in April. This month is dedicated to honoring all of the volunteers in our communities. National Volunteer Appreciation Month also encompasses National Volunteer Week (April 6th - 12th). President Richard Nixon established National Volunteer Week with an executive order in 1974, and every sitting U.S. president since Nixon has issued a proclamation during National Volunteer Week, urging Americans to give their time to community outreach organizations. During this time organizations all over the world are acknowledged for the efforts in the community in areas such as veterans groups, homeless groups, mentoring at risk youth, neighborhood clean ups and doing repairs for the elderly or disadvantaged.

Consumer Energy Solutions (CES) an energy consultant firm, established by Pat Clouden in 1999 created an office entirely dedicated to volunteerism. The staff in that office educate youth on the Truth About Drugs, help disadvantaged single families and nurture fledgling non-profit organizations. They also contribute to community gardening, neighborhood clean-ups, youth events in communities with at-risk youth, volunteering at the "4th Annual Clearwater Beach Chalk Festival" in October 2015, and collecting and purchasing toys for "Toys for Tots". Recently they volunteered at the Coachman Park Easter Egg Hunt which was attended by thousands of people.
