The Bronzes Of The Brave™ Memorial Statue Project Honors Military Hero In Presentation Before Crowd Of 85,000 Football Fans Preceding The Alabama v. Georgia Football Game!

(1888PressRelease) October 04, 2007 - Tuscaloosa, Alabama - The Bronzes Of The Brave™ Memorial Statue Project recently presented its latest bronze bust memorial statue to the family of American Hero Sgt Marquees A. Quick of Birmingham, AL in a brief ceremony before the University of Alabama v. the University Of Georgia football game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

With his family and friends present, in front of 85,000 fans, the bronze bust statue of Sgt. Marquees Quick was unveiled, while pictures of him were displayed on multiple jumbo-tron screens! With the unveiling, the crowd erupted in cheers and clapping that lasted several minutes!

Sgt. Marquees Quick was graduated in 1996 from Birmingham’s Huffman High School where he ran cross country and was in the ROTC program. At the young age 26, Sgt. Marquees Quick was a leader of F Troop, 1st Armored Calvary regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team of the 1st Armored Division. Sgt. Quick was killed in Ramadi, Iraq when the enemy attacked his unit with RPG fire (rocket propelled grenades.)

Sam Patterson, Executive Director of the Bronzes Of The Brave™ was onfield to oversee the unveiling ceremony. "This is powerful for the families involved, the friends, and these football fans here today! It is a great way to honor both Sgt. Marquees Quick, and all of our military servicemen and women who are giving of themselves, so that the rest of us can enjoy the benfits of living in America - like this football game!"

The family of Sgt. Quick - wife Alaishai, mother, and others - who were involved in the bronze bust memorial statue throughout the process to make certain that the image and likeness was representative of Sgt. Quick - were on hand to receive both the bronze statue and the adoration of the crowd. "Looking up at nearly 100,000 fans in this stadium is daunting, but when they cheered for Marquees...well, there's no more than we could ask for than that!"

Bronzes of the Brave™ is a TN nonprofit corporation sculpting and presenting these permanent Bronze bust statues in honor of our American Fallen Heroes for public display.
