April 17, 2008 - The Art Project was created by two guys with a passion for art and the World Wide Web. They have created a project with the artist in mind. They have designed a space where artists can set their own prices per piece, submit their chosen work, and control many aspects of their own content without the hassle of building their own site. The Art Project is a place where artists don't have to pay high art gallery fees, allowing the buyers to get the best possible deal on amazing art and artists to be compensated for their talent!
This project will allow the artist to display their work to the world. To aid the Art Project with marketing and promotions, they have teamed up with online marketing experts Fogg Industries to give artists the greatest internet exposure possible.
The services of the Art Project have been bundled up into a $46.50 initial set-up fee which includes: uploading the artist's art to the site, one month of online advertising, and the artist's own personal webpage (example: nate.theartprojectonline.com). The Art Project also requires a 20% commission on all art sold, however, if the art doesn't sell the artist does not pay (most galleries charge 40-60% and they offer a fraction of the traffic offered online!). The objective of the Art Project is to create a space for artists to sell their work online without having to deal with the headache of start up costs and online checkouts, so they can focus on what is important, their art.
