We are "BERRY" Excited to Announce a Day of Food and Fun at The 2014 Vista Strawberry Festival.
- (1888PressRelease) March 15, 2014 - VISTA, CA - The Annual Vista Strawberry Festival, sponsored by Mossy BMW of Vista (www.bmwofvista.com) and brought to you by the Vista Chamber of Commerce, is back for 2014, and is expected to attract more than 75,000 attendees! The Festival officially kicks off at the Wave Waterpark in Vista on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at 7:05 a.m. with the Strawberry Festival Run (10K, 5K, 1-Mile, ¼-Mile) sponsored by Robert Franks State Farm.
The run, followed by a pie eating contest, strawberry costume contest, Strawberry Idol and much more, is certain to be a day full of food, fun, memories and of course - strawberries! "We are excited to announce that we have extended this year's event by opening the kid's ride area on Friday, May 23, and will also include additional activities like a Strawberry Picking contest, Sidewalk Art displays, and a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament", says Tory Walker, from Tory R. Walker Engineering and Chairman of the Board of Directors with the Vista Chamber of Commerce.
"The Vista Strawberry Festival is the only festival in San Diego County that celebrates all the joys and pleasures of the Strawberry", said Chamber CEO, Bret Schanzenbach. Why strawberries? - Vista was once the "Strawberry Capital of the World" and still boasts many strawberry fields. This year's celebration of the 'berry will bring over 300 vendors, athletic competitions and bring back many of the crowd pleasing events of previous years such as the pie eating, costume, and beauty contests, carnival rides, music, food, and much more!
