  • Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, CA (1888PressRelease) October 17, 2014 - Shea Properties and CenterCal Properties recently announced the newest addition to The Collection at RiverPark called, The Annex, a 13,800 square foot collection of microshops, artisan boutiques and epicurean discoveries, opening in 2015.

The Annex will showcase unique local retailers and craft food and beverage purveyors. The community-oriented marketplace will bring together a mix of tenants who wish to share their passions with a wider audience.

"The Annex is an exciting concept," said Michael Pynn, general manager of The Collection at RiverPark. "Architecturally, it will have a very contemporary and hip feel, with wi-fi throughout and comfortable seating areas if you just want to hang out. We're targeting smaller, locally generated retailers-like those found at the Santa Barbara or Oxbow public markets."

Leading the leasing charge at The Annex is the team of Russell and Andrea Young, the same group who assembled the roster of tenants for the Orange County based OC Mart Mix in Costa Mesa, and the Union Markets in Tustin and Mission Viejo. The team is working to create an independent vendor concept that is flexible in its configuration, accommodating in its tenant mix and affordable in its rate structure.

"The Collection at RiverPark is the perfect location for an artisanal marketplace," said Andrea Young. "We are so excited to bring this concept to the Oxnard community and allow them to experience and support local businesses."

The Annex will offer a combination of local shops, boutiques and eateries in a communal layout that encourages social interaction. A craft brew coffeehouse, wine and cheese bar, boutique retailers and small restaurant concepts, such as a noodle bar and taco shop, will be among the types of vendors to open at The Annex. Leases will be announced as they are confirmed.
