October 25, 2007 - Kim Raynor, interim chief executive officer for The Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education, has announced that Time Warner Cable, the second-largest telecommunications operator in the United States, will be the premier sponsor of the 2007 Annual Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1 from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Poe Center, located at 224 Sunnybrook Road in Raleigh. The Poe Center is a statewide nonprofit whose mission is to positively impact the lives of North Carolina youth through health education.
Other sponsors of the event include: Rocky Top Hospitality, MMI Associates, Inc., Women’s Edge, The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences, and Women In The Triangle.
Dr. Sheila Collins, director of Translational Biology and the Program in Endocrine Biology and senior investigator at The Hamner Institutes, will be the keynote speaker, and will address obesity and diabetes.
