The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools Announced Today Hartnell College Has Resolved Its Accreditation Recommendations

  • Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) July 09, 2014 - On July 3, the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, Western Association of Schools, announced they took action to remove Hartnell College from "Probation." The ACCJC also issued a "Warning" that will require the college to submit a follow up report by March 15, 2015. The Report will be followed by a visit by Commission representatives.

    According to the letter Hartnell College received, "The Commission notes that the deficiencies cited in Recommendations 2, 3, and 4 which related to findings of the 2007 evaluation team have been resolved. The remaining deficiencies, noted above, were first identified in June 2013. Hartnell College should fully resolve the noted deficiencies by March 2015."

    The College fully resolved accreditation recommendations 1, 6, 8, 10, and 12. Significant progress was made for recommendations 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 11. The College is on target for resolving the remaining deficiencies by March 2015.
