June 23, 2009 - New Delhi - The first convocation of Indian Institute of Management Lucknow’s Noida campus witnessed 148 students being awarded their diplomas by Dr. JJ Irani, Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Lucknow and Dr. Devi Singh, Director IIM Lucknow. Sh. Vinayak Chatterjee, Chairman, Feedback Ventures was the Chief Guest and delivered the Convocation Address.
The Noida Campus of IIM Lucknow is the first initiative by any IIM to set up a second campus wholly dedicated to executive education. IIM Lucknow’s Noida campus runs two main courses: Working Managers Programme (WMP), a three year part time programme for working executives and International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX), a one year fully residential international management programme for mid-career executives. An important ingredient of the IPMX is a 4 weeks module at Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University, Canada.

The WMP & IPMX batches comprise of students working in different sectors of Banking, Engineering, Sales and Marketing, IT, Telecom, PSU and others.
Some of the major recruiters of IPMX batch included Hero Honda Motors Ltd, Genpact, Aircel, Avaya India Pvt Ltd, Tata Teleservices, International Oncology Services Pvt. Ltd., ERA Infra Engineering Ltd, Daimler Hero, PDCOR, RR Financial Consultants Ltd, Nokia Siemens Networks Pvt Ltd and SKS Microfinance Pvt Ltd.
The Jobs offered to IPMX students were in the areas of Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Technology Support, Sales, Materials and Enterprise Business. The Job positions offered were in the mid and senior management levels.

IIM Lucknow’s Noida campus has witnessed unprecedented success and growth since its inception in 2005. Some of the significant achievements have been:
· Launch of the Working Managers Programme (WMP) in 2005.
· Launch of International Programme in Management for Executives (IPMX), in April 2008
· In July 2008, launched an e- MDP for Genpact, which had 119 participants spread across the country
· In October 2008 a 1 year open e - General Management Program was launched for managers with minimum of 6 years work experience. 75 managers are attending the course
· In August, 2008, a group of 30 Executive MBA students and Professor Stanley D Mollen from McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, USA visited IIM Lucknow Noida Campus for a joint case discussion session with IPMX students.
· IIM Lucknow's Noida Campus hosted a one-week seminar titled "Doing Business in India" for a group of executive MBA students from MIP Politechnico Di Milano School of Management, Milano, Italy, in November, 2008.
· The 1st IPMX batch of 45 students received excellent Industry response to their projects. This was owing to their work experience (average of ten years for the batch), the International module (at McGill University), corporate interactions and a better global understanding of issues.
· IIM Lucknow’s Noida campus conducted its first General Management Programme for Defense officers from July 2008 to January 2009. This batch comprised of 59 officers including 7 lady officers.
· IIM Lucknow’s Noida Campus conducted its first International Conference on Asian Management Practices: People, Strategies and Evolutions, in Association with Japan Foundation, in March 2009.
· The Noida campus initiated ‘Leadership Interaction Series’ for the participants of IPMX. As part of the series, the participants of IPMX got an opportunity to interact with business leaders, discuss various strategic issues confronting global organizations at senior management level and learn from the thoughts & experiences of the distinguished speakers.
