Thailand’s Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel Attracts the Attractive

Bangkok’s international airport hotel has welcomed its share of prominent people but perhaps none as stunning as two Thai beauty queens who graced the luxury hotel with their presence recently.

(1888PressRelease) December 03, 2008 - Bangkok – Two of Thailand’s most recognized beauty pageant winners recently visited the Novotel Suvarnabhumi.

Miss Thailand World 2007 Kanokkorn Jaichuen and Miss Teen Thailand 2008 Athichanan Srisaveg arrived at Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel on a fashion shoot for Fashion Review Magazine in November.

In months previous, the Novotel Suvarnabhumi has hosted the U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, and Association of Southeast Asian Nations Security-General Surin Pitsuwan.

Novotel Suvarnabhumi was Accor Group’s second major airport hotel in Asia following the opening of Novotel Citygate near Hong Kong International Airport. Since its grand opening in September 2006, the four-star Novotel Suvarnabhumi hasn’t disappointed.

The Novotel features 612 rooms in two buildings joined by a massive glass atrium designed as the hotel lobby. With the lobby covering 2,800 square meters and five-stories in height, the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel boasts the largest hotel lobby in the world.

The Suvarnabhumi also caters to Bangkok’s growing meeting and event market with more than 2,400 square meters of conference space, including a stunning ballroom for as many as 1,000 people, and six additional meeting and function rooms.

Novotel Suvarnabhumi is located just a three-minute walk from the airport’s main terminal connected by a 200-metre, air-conditioned underground walkway. A direct rail link under construction will connect the hotel to existing transport systems, downtown Bangkok, and its central business districts by the end of 2008.

Novotel Suvarnabhumi sets a new standard for four-star hotels in Bangkok, says Accor Asia Pacific Managing Director Michael Issenberg.

“The hotel provides an ideal base for visiting business, leisure or transit travelers, as well as being a major new venue for conferences and events,” Issenberg says.

About Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel:
From the airport, the hotel is a pleasant 10-minute walk through the underground tunnel that links the two buildings together. At this convenient location, Novotel Suvarnabhumi is an ideal place to replenish, lounge, or while away the time before boarding your next flight. A reinterpretation of existing airport hotels, Novotel Suvarnabhumi welcomes you to a new experience. The hotel's soaring five-storey atrium, merging the elegance of polished stone and marble with its cutting-edge glass-and-steel vision, harbours the main lobby and six individually themed restaurants and bars. Beyond the lobby, the central courtyard opens out to a landscaped tropical garden and the main swimming pool, with the spa, Jacuzzi and fitness purposefully tucked away in a separate area.
