Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease)
March 01, 2007 - Texas horror writer Christopher Fulbright has seen his stories published in a large number of underground small press magazines -- many of which have come and gone like the fleeting shadow of a creature in the night.
New publishing company Doorways Publications (www.doorwaysmagazine.com) now pulls these rare bits of supernatural together into an illustrated collection called WHEN IT RAINS.
WHEN IT RAINS is a collection of supernatural and monster-oriented horror stories sure to thrill the true horror fan. While sixteen of the stories are reprints, two of the stories are brand new, and have never been published before. Nine of the stories in the book are illustrated.
"I feel like it's a strong collection," Fulbright said. "And it's nice to have one book that I can refer people to for reading my favorites, instead of a handful of magazines and anthologies. I couldn't be happier with the way the book turned out -- Matthew [Kukosky's] illustrations are fantastic."
Fulbright's work has garnered praise from such horror authors as Brian Keene and Charlee Jacob. His latest novella, THEN COMES THE CHILD, was co-authored with his wife Angeline Hawkes, a Bram Stoker Award nominee.
The online horror bookstore Shocklines is now taking pre-orders for WHEN IT RAINS at their website: http://shocklines.stores.yahoo.net/whitraandotw.html. The book will also be available at all major online retailers, such as Amazon.com and BN.com, starting April 1, 2007.
