Texas Association of Health Underwriters Inducts 2011-2012 Officers

  • Cincinnati, OH-KY-IN (1888PressRelease) May 13, 2011 - The Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU), a professional association of independent health insurance agents and carrier representatives, inducted their newly elected officers for 2011-2012 at the annual convention in San Antonio, Texas. The convention, "Traveling New Directions", was held at the Westin La Cantera Resort from May 5th to May 7thand was hosted by President Elect Joanna Antongiovanni and her Convention Committee.
    The president of the National Association of Health Underwriters, Steve Selinsky, installed the slate of officers for the upcoming term. The newly appointed officers are: Joanna Antongiovanni, president; Misty Baker, president elect; Kelly Fristoe, first vice president; Mark Bellman, second vice president; Jacqueline St. Hilaire, treasurer; Joe Phifer, secretary; Louanne Trebing, immediate past president.

    "This year's convention was a great success," said Joanna Antongiovanni, incoming TAHU president. "We celebrated our year of accomplishments, awards and set goals and initiatives for the upcoming year."
    Members of TAHU also participated in a Charity Golf Tournament with proceeds benefiting Ava's Wish, a philanthropic organization assisting families of children who have suffered severe head trauma, and the TAHU Honorees Corporation, funding the Hollis Roberson Scholarship, Ken Martin Scholarship, Carnall's Kids and the TAHU Disaster Relief Fund.
