September 30, 2008 - The “Twinning Engineering Programmes” (TEP) & “Thammasat English Programme of Engineering” (TEPE), Thammasat University (TU), Rangsit Campus, announces the expanding of TEP&TEPE Registration and Educational Advising Center to nine schools in all regions in addition to increase the education scholarship of TEPE in 2009.
Assistant Professor Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul, Director of TEP & TEPE project remarked that TEP & TEPE Project attempts to expand the registration centers to nine schools in all regions because this is the opportunity for students who are faraway from Bangkok, they can participated in TEP & TEPE project with comfortable areas. In additional, this registration center is also the TEP & TEPE Public Relation Center and Educational Advising Center for the international engineers as well.
“The objectives of establishing the centers are encouraging of science and engineering skills to students. This project is also provides and give more opportunities for students who live around Thailand. In additional, we will invite the specialists, professional and senior bachelor’ students to inform more information and encourage the engineering skills to new students” said, Assistant Professor Dr. Thira Jearsiripongkul.
The nine TEP& TEPE Region’s Registration Centers including Chainatpitayakom School in Chainat, Rayong Witthayakom School in Rayong, Montfort College in Chiang Mai, Pisanulok Pittayakom School in Pisanulok, Rajsima Wittayalai in Nakornrachasima, Udonpittayanukoon School in Udonthani, Benchama Maharat School in Ubon Ratchathai, Hatyaiwittayalai School in Songkhla and Phuket Wittayalai in Phuket.
The Administer of TEP&TEPE project exposed, “In 2009, we expect to increase TEP & TEPE Scholarship for every registration and educational advising centers. We would like to give more chances for excellent students who are interested in engineering by testing both essay examination and interview. The Twinning Engineering Programmes (TEP) is Thailand’s first academic curriculum that offers two bachelor degrees from Thammasat University and the host university which students chosen to pursue between the University of Nottingham in England and the University of New South Wales in Australia. Both the educational institutions have an international reputation of excellent engineering curriculum and researches. The Thammasat English Programme of Engineering (TEPE) is a four-year engineering course of the Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus, that all classes are conducted in English. Students under the program also have the opportunity to take training session at leading companies oversea as well as the opportunity to pursue the engineering degree at leading international education institutions through student exchange programs.
