Magento is a highly popular Open Source eCommerce package which has had over 500,000 downloads since it was first launched on April 9, 2007.

The eCommerce community has quickly made Magento a major player because of its additional functionality compared to other online store engines. However, the high flexibility of Magento has also caused concerns by some reviewers about technical level needed to use the engine.
Use of a theme for Magento can simplify this level of complexity for the website owner. The themes provide a complete standardized product, including design and graphics, which can then be customized by the owner to show the text and products specific to their business. Magento templates will join the family of eCommerce templates provided byTemplate Monster. Already supported are osCommerce, ZenCart, and CRE Loaded eCommerce engines.
