November 19, 2007 - The Microprocessor based Integrated Sensor Transmitter (MIST), sensors incorporates a RTD temperature sensor built with a integral 4-20mA temperature transmitter hermetically sealed in a stainless steel adapter that is only 0.64 inch in diameter and only 2 inches long. The transmitter is a highly stable, isolated and has a linearized output which produces an industry standard 4 to 20mA output signal.
MIST Sensors have a wide temperature measuring range of -200ºC to + 600ºC (-328ºF to +1112ºF), constructed using a class B, Pt100 RTD sensor. The stem is either a tube construction which is used for low temperature applications or compacted MgO for high temperature applications in either a 1/4" or 3/16" diameter, 316 Stainless Steel sheath, the MIST have a maximum pressure rating of 1500 PSIG. The advantage the MIST Sensor has over other sensor/transmitters assemblies is that the electronics are hermetically sealed and contained within the transition of the sensor. In applications where moisture is a problem with conventional field transmitter assemblies, the MIST offers a perfect solution.
The MIST Series are supplied Factory scaled and calibrated to 20 common temperature ranges these standard temperature ranges are suitable for most common RTD and many thermocouple applications. As the MIST are fully programmable, they can be factory calibrated to your specific needs or with the optional MIST-Isoft calibration module and PC based software recalibration can be done in the field to meet your specific application requirements.
Applications:
The MIST Series Temperature Sensors can be used as a substitute in many applications as a replacement for thermocouples or RTD’s.
MIST Sensors can be used in:
• Chemical Plants
• Power Generation Facilities
• Water Treatment Facilities
• Food Processing
• Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
• Paper Mills
• Heat Treating
• Hydraulic Systems
• Autoclaves
Prices Start at $195.00 USD
