Technology Credit Union Committed to Child Safety

Credit Union Teams up with Missing Children’s Non-profit to Promote Awareness and Safety.

San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) March 27, 2009 - Throughout the month of February, Technology Credit Union (Tech CU) and the Vanished Children's Alliance (VCA) teamed up to bring its members a special "Child Protection Day" at all 10 of its Bay Area branches. VCA was able to fingerprint over 100 children and provide important safety information to approximately 300 members of the community. During the campaign, more than $600 in donations were given by employees, members and a company match. VCA would like to wholeheartedly thank Tech CU for their support, as well as their commitment to child safety, missing and abducted children, and the members of their respective communities.

Since 2007, Tech CU regularly rotates an image of a missing child featured by VCA on its online banking log-in page. The photo links to the VCA website where members can find out more about the case, as well as a phone number to contact if they have information that may assist in the recovery of the child. Throughout the year, Tech CU will sponsor several community service events that support financial education, children, youth, and family services in the Bay Area. To find out more about these events and how individuals can participate, visit Tech CU’s community page at www.techcu.com/community.
