The objective of awareness rally was to educate the residents of Pune about the need for energy conservation and the various ways to conserve energy. About 100 students and school staff participated in the awareness rally spreading the message on energy conservation and sensitising close to 500 people. The rally was well received and passed through the busy markets of Pune. Before the rally, students of City International School came together to prepare banners, placards and posters which depicted various ways of conserving energy.

Speaking on this initiative, Mr. Anil Sardana, MD & CEO, Tata Power, said, "We have devised a focused approach of spreading the message of energy conservation and afforestation amongst the children who will form the future of this country. The enthusiastic involvement and the dedication displayed by the students to spread the message is remarkable and has contributed largely towards making this a national movement. We would like to thank the students and management of City International School for extending their whole-hearted support and making this rally such a grand success."
