May 24, 2007 - Our Brave Female Soldiers
Imagine being hot, exhausted and dirty. Temperatures reached 140 degrees today and there’s dust and grit all over your body. You’ve been in full gear, which includes body armor, uniform, helmet, combat boots, utility belt, and your rifle. You finally make it back to base with one thought on your mind: a shower! This is what our female soldiers face every single day. But many come back to base and take a shower with a bar of soap that was made for a man! They have no skin care or body care products to help them feel like a woman again. They have no moisturizer with an SPF to help protect them from the sun. They miss the simple things – even feminine care products are scarce.
Later that evening there’s a meeting, and care boxes are given to each soldier from generous charities and organizations. It’s like having Christmas again! Everyone excitedly opens their box and inside they find men’s soap, deodorant and even aftershave – but nothing for a woman! How would you feel?
This is the picture that was painted for me by two of our consultants. Diane Showerman (Las Vegas, NV) forwarded a note from Coleen Chesterman (Schofield Barracks, Hawaii) that told of our female soldiers and how often this happens. This prompted Coleen and Diane to suggest that the SUZANNE™ consultants and company come together to support our female troops.
SUZANNE's TEAM JOYFUL CONSULTANTS are proud to announce our newest promotion, Support Our Female Troops – SOFT!
This promotion will begin on Memorial Day (May 28) and will run through July 4. We can make a difference in our female soldiers’ daily life! We will send care packages that are specifically for our female soldiers that include the things we all take for granted: women’s cleanser, toner, moisturizer, body care, feminine hygiene products, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant.
SOFT – It's easy!
1. Buy One – Give One: Every single time you buy a Hydrating or Balancing Skin Care product (cleanser, toner, or moisturizer), or the Energizing Body Scrub and/or Cool Sorbet Body Moisturizer SUZANNE will donate one to SOFT.
2. Dollar Donation – You, your family, and friends can all join together to donate dollars to SOFT. Get as many people as you can to join in. Anyone can donate a dollar, five dollars, ten dollars or whatever amount they like.
What will we do with the dollars you and your friends donate?
We will buy products SUZANNE doesn’t offer such as deodorant, tampons, shampoo, conditioner, ibuprofen, acetaminophen, band-aids, etc.
