Susansnaps: Cookie Gift Company For Cancer Research Introduces New Get Well Gift Items

Susan Stachler, co-owner of Susansnaps, the ultimate gourmet gingersnap gift company, creates Nurse Ginger as the whimsical logo for their new get-well gift packaging line. 10% of proceeds from all sales goes to cancer research.

(1888PressRelease) June 08, 2007 - Atlanta, Georgia - Susansnaps, the ultimate gourmet gingersnap gift company has just launched its’ new product line, Nurse Ginger.

Mother-daughter duo, Laura and Susan Stachler owners of Susansnaps wanted to create a new product line that would be good for get well gifts. Nurse Ginger is the new fashion lady logo which is a whimsical nurse design that says, “hope you are feeling snappy soon!” The Nurse Ginger logo adorns either a white tin, gift box, or bakery bag with a red and white polka dot bow filled with gourmet gingersnaps.

Susan Stachler has hand-drawn and created all of the company’s fashion lady logos ranging for Classic Laura, Luncheon Lucy (for breast cancer awareness), Pregnant Polly, Sally Sailor, Holiday Holly, and now the newest addition, Nurse Ginger. Susan said, “I created Nurse Ginger, so we could package our gingersnaps specifically for get well gifts. We really want Susansnaps to be sent to family members and friends who are under the weather, had surgery, or are going through chemo or radiation. When you are going through chemo, there is nothing better than getting a present in the mail and knowing that someone is thinking of you. And of course, everyone loves a good cookie!”

Susan Stachler knows what it’s like to go through chemo as she is a three year Hodgkin’s survivor. Susansnaps were developed by Laura Stachler after watching her husband and 22 year old daughter, Susan, undergo a total of twenty-eight rounds of chemotherapy. Knowing that ginger is a natural stomach soother, Laura perfected her gingersnap recipe making her snaps a great treat for chemo patients. While Laura worked on the recipe, her daughter, Susan worked on the logos and packaging for Susansnaps. The two decided to package their cookies as gift items and a portion of their proceeds would go directly to cancer research through the foundation they established, The Susan Carver Foundation in memory of Laura’s sister, Susan Carver Smith (who died from Hodgkin’s at age 28) and in honor of Laura’s daughter, Susan Carver Stachler.

Susansnaps come packaged in a variety of sizes and designs making them available as gift items. This mother-daughter duo created Susansnaps as gifts for cancer patients, survivors, new moms, birthdays, the holidays, or just because! The addition of the Nurse Ginger packaging line creates more opportunity for Susansnaps to be sent as get well and thinking of you gifts. Susansnaps are the gift that keeps on giving, as a portion of all sales goes to cancer research. “A snap today, a cure tomorrow!”
