Sleep Country USA is hosting a Foster Kids Secret Santa Toy Drive now through December 11. The store is requesting that unwrapped books, toys and games be dropped off at the nearest Sleep Country store, including the Sunrise Village location. To help animals in need, Banfield Pet Hospital at PetSmart® in Sunrise Village is holding a pet food drive now through December 31. Food donations will help feed pets at the Metro Animal Services shelter and will be donated to families who are struggling to feed their pets. Rawhide chews are also being accepted to help keep shelter animals busy as they anxiously wait for a home.
The Puyallup South Hill Lions Club is hosting a Christmas Tree Sale at the northwest corner of Sunrise Village. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through December 23, the Lions Club has hundreds of Grand, Douglas and Noble fir trees to choose from. Ranging in price from $28 to $99, trees vary in size from four to nine feet in height. Volunteers will bale trees and rope them to vehicles at no charge; however, donations will be graciously accepted. Net profits go back to the community to help pay for sight and hearing services including glasses, hearing aids, exams and more.
