  • Rochester, NY (1888PressRelease) January 12, 2011 - For over five years kids and teens from downtown Mount Morris, NY have had a safe place to hang out. The Bridge After School Program, located at 19 Main Street has 12 computers, 4 video games, a foosball table, an air hockey table and a pool table. The facility is open year round, Monday - Thursday from 3:30-7:00. Local volunteers, a Foster Grandparent, Houghton College volunteers and SUNY Geneseo volunteers spend quality time with the kids and teens ranging from homework help to mentoring.

Sunnking (www.sunnking.com), an electronics recycling company based in Brockport, NY, has been involved with The Bridge from the start, providing refurbished computers and accessories so that the less fortunate youth in the area have a place to learn, play, and access the wealth of information available on the World Wide Web. In addition to the after school program, The Bridge also runs The Fishermen's Net KC2RHY Youth Ham Radio Club, which provides licensing classes for kids and teens. Sunnking recently donated two way radios and accessories for the club's newly licensed ham radio operators.
