Metcalfe is making an appearance in the NYC and Long Island area to meet with the family of a horse that was stolen from them. She will also be meeting with others about horse theft, sponsors and appearing at various horse clubs.

(1888PressRelease) July 03, 2008 - Debi Metcalfe, founder of Stolen Horse International, will be appearing in the New York area between July 19-21, 2008. The trip will consist of meetings with victims, association organizers and potential sponsors regarding Stolen Horse International. There will also be a very special trip to a family that lives on Long Island about their horse that was stolen and recovered.

Metcalfe is no stranger to making miracles happen. A family from Islip, New York searched for their missing horse for months. They worked with various agencies without successful results until they finally turned to Stolen Horse International for help. After getting as much information as possible from them about the horse, they requested that she travel and investigate at the last know location of the horse which was in North Carolina. Arrangements were made and she was off to Mt. Airy, NC, also known to many as "Mayberry," home of Andy Griffin.

In less than 24 hours, Metcalfe dealt with drug dealers, informants, horse traders, animal control and law enforcement officials and did what no one else was able to do; she found Carmel. Metcalfe's work was not over since Carmel the horse was no longer in North Carolina. In a few days she befriended the family who now had Carmel and convinced them to talk with the rightful owners from Islip. This story proceeded to have a happy ending for everyone. The family in New York not only found out what happened to Carmel but decided to let the 7 year old Paint mare to remain with the young rider in Pennsylvania.

"I love happy endings," Metcalfe stated. "On these days it is not just another day in the office." Often referred to as the “John Walsh” of the horse industry, Debi Metcalfe is perhaps the most recognized expert in the field of horse recovery, theft prevention and horse identification.
