Steve Norris Releases Self-Title Album
Piano man Steve Norris releases self-titled album under the production of Allan Blazek.
- (1888PressRelease) April 29, 2012 - Playing music has purpose. Whether it's for fun, entertainment, or a passion - music has to have meaning. And Steve Norris does this and more.
Steve Norris is a music prodigy from Southern Illinois, across the river from St. Louis. At age four, Steve was already playing Chopin and Beethoven. At eight, he was playing Mozart and at the same time playing guitar at Sunday church mass. Classical and worship music were then put in the backburner when Steve hit his teens. The rock 'n' roll sounds of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, the blues influence of St. Louis, and eclectic artists such as Bob Dylan, Styx, Journey, SuperTramp, and Tom Petty enchanted Steve. He then became a songwriter at 13.
From there, Steve had developed a style truly his own. His pop music, infused with everything from the famed piano work that Norris is known for, to cutting edge guitar work, to tenor and alto sax, to soaring melodies with four and five part vocal harmonies, grabs the listener and takes them on a wild musical ride.
Steve Norris has currently released a self-titled album produced by Allan Blazek, responsible for the music of the Eagles, Don Henley, and Joe Walsh, and it will undoubtedly take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Steve reflects on his old neighborhood in Ice Cream and Monticello Place, and makes a case for the plight of the homeless in the haunting Streets at Night. Steve changes gears with the tongue-in-cheek track Jesus at the Ball Park, and ends with his most popular song, Everything About You - heavily laden with an addicting chorus that you'll get to sing along to for hours to come!
