  • (1888PressRelease) August 26, 2014 - Held in Dubai at the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, the conference was a significant occasion for the fast growing hotel group and marked the first strategic planning opportunity with all regions present.

Having already amassed 34 properties across Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Middle East, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Singapore, StayWell CEO and Managing Director, Simon Wan was joined by joint venture partners from the Middle East, South Africa, India, Britain and Greater China across the four day event.

The StayWell key executives and business leaders covered off brand development workshops, unveiled development plans and strategy for the StayWell and Mantis South Africa joint venture and workshop regional development for all markets including the Middle East and Europe, South East Asia, India, Australia and New Zealand.

Innovation and evolution were top agenda items, supported by panel discussions on cultural diversity, change and business best practice - further strengthening the relationships across both the StayWell business and joint venture partners. The group also unveiled its 3rd generation Park Regis Room and public area design to the partners.

"The Dubai gathering was an important part of the StayWell Hospitality Groups' strategic growth, in having a platform to bring together all the key stakeholders who are working alongside us to bring the business vision to reality," said StayWell Group CEO and Managing Director, Simon Wan.

"One of our key joint ventures is with a leading group based here in the Middle East. In order to support the growth in this market as well as South Africa, we have now established development offices in both locations. To further bolster our presence in these regions we have made a number of key executive appointments to strategically drive our business from the front line."

"For us, the conference gave an opportune time to gather with all our partners and plan for developments already underway, whilst looking to the future and what ongoing success will look like for the StayWell Hospitality Group."

"We are honoured to be on such an exciting journey with our joint venture partners, in looking to create a hospitality industry blueprint that is renowned across the globe."

The international meeting followed a recent announcement of StayWell's partnership with the South African based Mantis Collection, which will front the growth of its hotel brands throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Under the agreement, the Park Regis and Leisure Inn brands will be established in key cities at properties to be procured by Mantis.

Following the conclusion of the global gathering in Dubai, StayWell Hospitality will look to finalise a number of joint venture agreements ahead of their official announcement.

Since the start of 2014, StayWell has opened its first Indonesian property, Bali's new Park Regis Kuta and five properties across New Zealand's north and south islands. Joining the portfolio in the first quarter of 2016 will be the first StayWell lifestyle hotel in Shoreditch in the UK, the Park Regis Birmingham.
