The award is the latest in a series of technology and business honors, recognizing Datacraft Solutions’ innovative approach for overcoming the challenges of doing business in today's global, partner-based manufacturing model.
Stephen Parker, CEO of Datacraft Solutions proudly noted, “It is an honor to be recognized by START-IT. We deliver a revolutionary digital kanban process of automation solutions to lean manufacturers through a secure Internet gateway, eliminating the need to install and maintain a complex IT infrastructure”. Companies that make the START-IT 125 list are considered leaders in their field and this recognition directs customers to a starting point for technology solutions. Finding the right partner, with the right solution, at the right time and at a value-based price is rarely an easy task, but Datacraft’s subscription based pay-as-you-go solution model addresses this challenge.
The company has experienced significant growth in the past twelve months by eliminating complicated, expensive, time-intensive software implementations as well as extensive training regiments and the need for internal support. The Datacraft Solutions' replenishment supply chain digital kanban lean system allows customers access and fully utilize powerful lean benefits immediately for a low, predictable monthly fee. Services are scalable so manufacturers can design an appropriate digital kanban solution.
Definition of: Kanban
Meaning "visible record" in Japanese, it is a system of notification from one process to the other in a manufacturing system. Kanban cards, which may be multicolored based on priority, are stored in a bin or container that holds the items. They describe the parts, supplier and quantity. When the bin is emptied, the Kanban is used to order more. A two-card Kanban system uses "move" cards to relocate items from one workplace to another and "production" cards to replace the material when it is used or sold.
