February 28, 2009 - The Heritage Festival and Parade, San Diego's largest parade of its kind celebrating Black History Month takes place this Saturday, February 28th 2009 from 10 A.M. to 4 P.M. and open to the public.
The historical, fun-filled day expects more than 10,000 attendees including a star-studded celebrity lineup, parade entrants, vendors, and spectators. Its rich tradition and history have become a positive addition to community events both socially and economically in the heart of San Diego.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. from Willie James Jones and Imperial Avenue ending at Festival Park in the Market Creek Plaza.
Confirmed celebrities include: Actor Tyrese Gibson, Columbus Short (Quarantine, Stomp the Yard), Actress/Singer Christina Milian, SAN DIEGO CHARGER PLAYERS, Terrell Davis (Denver Broncos), Camille Winbush (Secret Life of an American Teenager), Lil J (That's so Raven), Brando Eaton (Nickelodeon's Zoey 101, Nip/Tuck), Kel Mitchell (Nickelodeon's All That), and so many other surprise guests!
Spectators will also enjoy a performance by Teen Pop Duo, THE G-GIRLZ.
In addition to the fun-filled day of family friendly booths, vendors, and activities, there will be a red carpet for VIP guests and a celebrity meet and greet opportunity for the public to get autographs from their favorites stars.
