Spoken Rhythm, A New And Welcomed Genre Of Music

Spoken Rhythm, A New and Welcomed Genre of Music

Chicago, IL (1888PressRelease) January 03, 2007 - In the same fashion as all things that continue to live and grow, it must evolve, in to something greater and seemingly more special. The same holds true for the music we listen to on an everyday basis. The music we hear today has changed and evolved in some instances from political aspects to a total materialistic point of view, thus watering down the potency of its lyrics because they are just not mentioning concepts of importance anymore. Thank goodness, there is a new genre of music on the horizon! It is called “Spoken Rhythm”, originated by Frank Pete, a Chicago poet. As consumers and connoisseurs of music, we understand that a change is necessary and will receive a hero’s welcome once it reaches mainstream media.

What is “Spoken Rhythm?” Spoken Rhythm is the eloquent unification of spoken words and rhythm and blues music. It embodies and embraces the full art form of poetry but blends with various genres of music (i.e. gospel, jazz, r&b) in such fashion that one can generically name a spoken rhythm composition, a song. Oh, it is just poetry to music? As a much needed caution to the consumer in a colossal effort to prevent prejudgment, try not to believe, that you already know what this style of music will sound like, if you have not had the opportunity of hearing it. Time and time again consumers become pleasantly surprised by this new genre, for the reason that as soon as the consumer heard that it contained poetry, they felt like they have heard it in the past and thus losing interest in giving it a listen.

Okay, and what about the content? The content overall is relationship based with branches connecting to gospel, politics, self-motivation and love for your family. There is absolutely zero vulgarity, no murders, no drugs, and no bling-bling, just quality concepts that occur in our lives everyday with a poetical twist. Profanity? Let’s say it doesn’t come close to what we hear on television (that may not be saying much huh?). Spoken Rhythm prides itself on being virtually profanity-free. Since Frank Pete is the originator, on an entire spoken rhythm album, the amount of profane words from beginning to end can be counted on one hand. We like to think that profanity composes 0.0001 percent of all the words on the album. It has no bona fide place in Spoken Rhythm. When profanity is used, it is purposefully placed to give the extreme intensity to the point that is being presented. And it can always be recited in a public forum absent of that one profane word.

Spoken Rhythm is here to fill the void our music has been missing for years! Visit the www.spokenrhythm.org website, spread the word, and support this new genre of music! Your ears will thank you!
