September 14, 2006 - The newest channel to be added is SpivO MoneySense. The financial channel will provide market research, stock quotes, news, and other financial data. Currently, SpivO (http://www.spivo.com) is off schedule with the stock quote search directly from the SpivO search engine module.
SpivO released a note to their workshop members today saying, “The delays with the MoneySense channel are in no way the responsibility of the content provider but rather some unexpected issues experienced by our development team.”
The launch is still scheduled for the 15th but if the stock quote integration to the search engine is not functional by the launch date, SpivO may decide to put off the launch until the first of next week.
SpivO has always been open to the public about development progress and this is not the first time a channel launch has been delayed. On April 24th of 2006, SpivO issued a press release when their contextual advertising system launch was delayed due to relevancy problems in ad serving.
Even though the SpivO MoneySense launch may get a little off schedule, SpivO assures everyone that other SpivO Workshop projects are not experiencing any trouble at the moment. Yesterday, in the workshop, they announced SpivO Relevant, a channel under development that will allow web site owners to link their site to relevant channels on SpivO.
