Spirax Sarco Inc. Introduces New and Enhanced Steam-water Washdown Station

The stations provide instantaneous hot water economically and safely by blending steam and cold water to the required set temperatures - ideal for washing down walls, floors, and process equipment in the industries such as food and beverage, chemical, and pharmaceutical. This product-line offers a brass/stainless steel construction with a safety shutdown feature.
The new STVM Dual Mix washdown stations are designed to suite general cleaning applications where hot water is required. The stations dual output systems allow steam and water pressures to operate without changing components. This improves efficiency and reduces risk. The dual outlet gives the user the ability to feed two different sources with one mixing unit. This feature reduces energy producing cost as the units are capable to product hot water for washdown as well as provide a secondary source of hot water for other uses.
As safety is a concern with steam and hot water, the unique internal design of the STVM Dual Mix washdown stations does not allow live steam to penetrate when installed and used properly in industrial environment. Should the water flow become interrupted, the steam poppet will push the steam poppet back into its closed position for safe shut-down.
Maintenance is simple with the STVM Dual Mix washdown stations. The patent design mixing valve cartridge will reduce the effects of scaling and mineral buildup. When the cartridge needs to be removed for cleaning, users only need a standard, 1-1/2 in. open-ended wrench.
