September 25, 2007 - Speaking of Women’s Health honored Dr. Susan Weaver with the It’s the Right Time award at the Speaking of Women’s Health two-day conference on Friday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 15 at the North Raleigh Hilton. Dr. Weaver was recognized for her integral involvement as executive director of Alliance Medical Ministries, partner of CapitalCare Collaborative, and director of community access at WakeMed Health and Hospitals.
After her sister died of cancer, Dr. Weaver dedicated herself to assisting the more than 20 percent of Wake County residents that have no health insurance.
