September 28, 2009 - – The premier technology event of Southern California, the Southland Technology Conference (SoTeC), will be held on October 16-17, 2009, at the Hilton Hotel, 701 West Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90831. Since 2000, the conference has focused on professional development and networking, attracting Software Quality, Project Management and all levels of IT practitioners.
Three dynamic and internationally acclaimed keynote speakers will highlight this year’s conference – Eli Davidson, International Best-Selling Author, John Tonsick, President, Institute of Internal Auditors, and Reid Carr, President, Red Door Interactive. Other top industry experts round out the speaker agenda for this two day must attend event.
This year’s theme is “New Paradigms for Challenging Times – Maximizing Personal and Organizational Value”. Vendor showcases, structured networking, panel discussions, and amazing door prizes round out this exceptional agenda. SoTeC 2009 will once again set the standard by providing the most cost-effective opportunity for attendees to earn PDU's or CEU's. The 2009 conference has added special student and in-transition (unemployed) conference pricing of $99 for one or both days. Group and early bird pricing are also available. Early bird registrants signing up before October 6th will be entered into a raffle for special prizes.
Another addition this year is the SoTeC Inspiration Award to recognize inspirational community service by a Southland technology professional. While the idea of Community Service or “giving back” is not new, it represents an important paradigm in today’s economic and social climate.
