August 13, 2008 - SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – Detroit nonprofit You Can International is partnering with Mississippi Black Chamber of Commerce to host its 1st Annual International Women’s Conference and Workshop, Tuesday, August 26 – Friday, August 29 at the Southfield Civic Center. This interactive 3-day event will set the stage for the community to stretch beyond the metro area into an international arena of business opportunities, investments, education and partnerships. The conference theme is, Unmasking Our Greatest Potential, and will feature a marketplace for vendors, professional workshops, a health resource fair and entertainment.
With visitors coming from as far as Africa to alert the community on rewarding investment opportunities, this conference is beyond anything that has ever been present in metro Detroit. In addition, the Mississippi Black Chamber of Commerce will announce available partnerships within the automotive industry, for possible joint ventures with the state of Mississippi. Other highlights include, gas card and school supply giveaways, free health services and business luncheons featuring expert speakers.
