SouthEastern Globe Magazine Celebrates 2nd Anniversary and Unveils Expansion Plans for 2009

Cambodia’s leading English Language magazine, The SouthEastern Globe, celebrated its second year anniversary in grand style at the Scan Hotel.

(1888PressRelease) March 31, 2009 - Phnom Penh - After its humble beginning 24 issues ago, the SouthEastern Globe has developed into one of the most important news, business, and lifestyle publications in the region. With an audience base of over 40,000 readers comprising expatriates, business leaders, entrepreneurial minded travelers and international locals, the published SE Globe is distributed monthly to news stands and select hotels throughout Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.

“Today is a very important day for us as we have experienced unprecedented success while pushing traditional conventions and creating a publication that is not only informative, engaging, and entertaining; but also fosters a spirit of cooperation within the regional business community,” said Tassilo Brinzer, the magazine’s Co-founder and Editor in Chief.

“With the uncertainty of the current global economic situation, it is more important than ever to provide useful information about key aspects of the “Mekong neighborhood” of countries,” said Brinzer.

The SE Globe announced during the evening gala event plans for the upcoming launch of the magazine in Thailand this September. Partnering with the Bangkok Post’s national distribution network and Bangkok-based branding specialist TMD Communications, the SE Globe will find itself taking on an immediate leadership role in the English language publishing field in Thailand.

“At the moment, there is simply nothing available with this quality and calibre of content being published in Thailand,” said Kirk Bentham, Managing Director of TMD. “The timing couldn’t be better for a business-oriented magazine to bring regional news, insightful features on Thailand and other in-depth articles and stories about the region to the English-speaking marketplace.”

The SE Globe is dedicated to continually delivering its world-class expertise in journalism, photography, and publishing to new audiences within the region and abroad.
