South Shore Elder Services Offers Dinner And Discussion Series On Grief, Depression And Mental Health In September

DATELINE: BRAINTREE, MA... South Shore Elder Services, a non-profit agency in Braintree providing valuable resources and services to elders and caregivers throughout the South Shore area, will present their second series of dinners and discussions on topics important in understanding the aging process.

South Shore Elder Services, a non-profit agency in Braintree providing valuable resources and services to elders and caregivers throughout the South Shore area, will present their second series of dinners and discussions on topics important in understanding the aging process.

• A “Grief and Loss” session will be held on Tuesday, September 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. It will be presented by Pam Marino, LICSW, Coordinator of Clinical Development at South Shore Elder Services.

• The “Depression and Abnormal Grief” session will be held on Tuesday, September 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and presented by Deborah Colgan, MA, M.Ed., NCC, Regional Family Support Coordinator at South Shore Elder Services.

• On Tuesday, September 26th, “Mental Health Crises in Elders” session will be presented by Kara Fink, LICSW, Coordinator of Clinical Development at South Shore Elder Services.

This series will be held at South Shore Elder Services offices located at 159 Bay State Drive in Braintree and is open to professionals, elders, community members and caregivers.

Each session includes a light supper, materials and CEUs for eligible professionals and costs $20.
