January 03, 2008 - Each Friday at 1PM Eastern Standard Time, Sound Authors radio show features live interviews and readings from all varieties of authors, known and not-yet-known; all soon-to-be bestselling authors from all walks of life, from Hollywood actors to marathoners, to PhD therapists or life coaches. On this talk radio show, it is the story that counts. Authors sound off on every possible topic, from cuisine to culture, and from nature to nurture.

The first author guest featured this week is Alan R. Tripp, who at the age of 20 broadcasted the news on WMCA in New York. He’s run an ad agency, produced the first network Pro Football Championship, has written three books, and has been an entertaining guest on radio and TV shows from New York to San Diego. His latest project IN THE HOLE! Poetic Justice for Golf Fanatics, is a combination audio CD and book about the fun side of golf.
The second guest will be Worldwide professional speaker Paul Davis. He has traveled to over 50 nations and 6 continents. A strategic negotiator and transformative mediator, Davis empowers people to peaceably resolve conflict. He’s a prolific author of 12 timeless books including the masterpiece POEMS THAT PROPEL THE PLANET—Love, Liberation & Reconciliation (Pulitzer Prize-nominated).
The third guest will be human-rights lawyer Maureen Webb. She speaks extensively on post-9/11 security and human-rights issues and is also the author of ILLUSIONS OF SECURITY: Global Surveillance and Democracy in the Post-9/11 World.
The musical guest for the show this week will be Joe Crookston. His music is original, imaginative, and enchanting and the message within each song is clear and brilliant. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, with Hungarian musical roots, he inherited his love of music and song from his late mother, a prolific songwriter and accordion player. Whether it’s his mesmerizing guitar sound, bubbling banjo, his music draws from his rural Ohio roots and exudes a remarkable intergenerational, universal, and timeless quality.
Tune in next week for musician Steve Earle, singer and song writer welll known for his rock and country music as well as for his many political views. He is also a published writer, a political activist and has written and directed a play. In his early career, he was seen as a savior of country music and labeled by some as the "new Bruce Springsteen".
