January 1, 2007 marked the launching of www.sonicjive.com, a networking community that provides promotion and exposure for local unsigned and indie-label bands and musicians nationwide.
Bands are able to post and sell downloadable MP3 files of their music, acquire and interact with fans, post webcasts, submit FREE classified ads, and get their music played on their on-line radio station, SonicJive Radio.
In addition, www.SonicJive.com is giving away $25,000.00 to one of the first 1000 bands that sign up!!!!!
Fans can create FREE profiles and bands and musicians can sign up for free as well, or choose a membership to post and sell music for as little as $8.25 per month. All profits from MP3 and merchandise sales go to the bands and musicians that sell them. Featured artists get their entire CD played on the SonicJive radio, which is syndicated to 60+ media outlets.
The website also features an on-line E-ZINE with articles on promotion, the latest industry news, CD and show reviews, and venue reviews.
