Lucy Sykes Rellie, is the designer behind the internationally recognised brand Lucy Sykes New York.
Originally from London, Lucy worked at Harper’s & Queen; and upon arrival in New York City, joined the fashion department of Harper’s Bazaar, and later spent time at Town & Country, Vogue and Allure. In 1999, Sykes joined the staff of Marie Claire as Senior Fashion Editor and was soon promoted to Fashion Director. She also regularly appeared as a commentator on national television programs.
Why is she the darling of celebrity mums and fashion editors around the world?
The children’s line, which has a sophisticated European sensibility, became an instant press favorite from New York to London and a “must-have” for the babies of chic moms, celebrity clients and fashion editors. It is now available in over 60 stores internationally and has included Saks, Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, Nordstrom, Scoop and Yoya in the US, and Harrods and Selfridges in London
Lucy’s designs have a elegant international flair. Her US fall 2008 collection was inspired by Art Nouveau, the Irish countryside, and groovy Chelsea girl style. She continues to draw on what’s happening in fashion to create her line each season. This collection is available now through Something Nice For Kids.
