June 12, 2008 - Bochum – Smart Card Crypto Provider 3 – quick & safe digital signing. The Smart Card Crypto Provider library by soft Xpansion makes the implementing of digital signatures into commercial processes easier. It simplifies the usage of Smart Card certificates for the encoding and decoding. With this product the software developers do not need a deep knowledge about technical details of digital signing of documents. The library can be quickly and at low expenditure combined with software applications. The encoding/decoding occurs over the Microsoft® encoding application interface "Crypto API", provided for programmers. Except the installed hardware drivers, for example, for the card reader, no other components are necessary. All card readers, which support the standard PC/SC, can be used.

The library can be used with the most common Smart Cards in Germany and Europe. Now they are:

For the Smart Card Crypto Provider 3 you can download a demo application PDF Quick Reader (Freeware) here. PDF Quick Reader uses the Smart Card Crypto Provider library to sign PDF documents with certificates, which are saved locally on the PC, on Smart Cards or on USB-Sticks. The implemented library is accessible over the item Document/Sign... in the program menu.

The library supports all up-to-date Windows platforms: Windows® Vista, XP, Server 2003, 2000.
