April 24, 2008 - Northridge,CA – SkyDancers International Inc., the technology leader in active motion promotional inflatables, announced today that the music video “Gone” starring Alison Krauss and Robert Plant was awarded Music Video of the Year at this years 2008 CMT (Country Music Television) Music Awards.
According to Chris Austin, President of SkyDancers International Inc., “We are extremely pleased to see that Alison’s and Robert’s music video ‘Gone’ hit the jackpot with the 2008 CMT Music Awards this year, garnering the coveted ‘Music Video of the Year’ Award.
While we, of course, recognize the fabulous talent of the Alison and Robert duo, we’re great fans of both stars, we have to think that the video would not have been the same without our fabulous SkyDancers. Don’t get me wrong, Alison and Robert looked fabulous too, but I think the chemistry among all the participants in the video added to the overall success of the video and contributed to their winning the 2008 Music Video of the Year Award. I must admit that I could be a might bit prejudiced towards the SkyDancers. It’s just great being part of another award winning program.”
Austin continued, “This is not the first time that SkyDancers have been part of major televised events, having been prominently featured at the Grammys, the Olympics, the Miss America Pageant, the World Cup and other events televised around the world, but this is the first time that SkyDancers have been part of an award-winning music video, so we are really excited.”
