November 03, 2009 - Six Taylor English Duma attorneys have been named ‘Legal Elite’ in the latest edition of Georgia Trend magazine: Scott Blews, Foy Devine, Paul Durdaller, Joe English, Henry Quillian and Marc Taylor.
Lawyers who make the list are selected by a group of their peers and are voted as most effective in 10 practice areas, including business law, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, and labor and employment.
"It's always flattering to be recognized by our peers," says partner Joe English. "Our attorneys have come to Taylor English because they believe in our unique entrepreneurial business model. This commitment is shown in the quality of their work."
Taylor English has developed a unique law firm business model that consists of experienced, senior attorneys practicing in a more efficient, cost-controlled environment. The firm, whose clients include the Atlanta Braves, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Travelers Insurance, Mohawk Industries, Turner Broadcasting System and UPS Capital Corp., has grown quickly since being founded in 2005 and now boasts more than 65 attorneys.
To compile the list, Georgia Trend mailed ballots to a sampling of lawyers who are members of the state bar and whose practice areas match the areas they highlight. Any attorney who is a member of the state bar and practices in Georgia was eligible to participate in the voting and to be voted onto the ‘Legal Elite’ list. Respondents were not allowed to vote for themselves but they could vote for other members of their firms, as long as they voted for an equal or greater number of attorneys outside their firm.
