Ephie is unique in the fact that he possesses a talent and maturity far beyond his years. As a poet, Ephie rivals the best in the world and incorporates an evolved lyrical sense in both his song and spoken word poetry. Ephie spent three years as a stand-up comedian playing for crowds in NYC (Comic Strip Live, Gotham, NY Comedy Club) before deciding he needed another outlet. He turned to music to help him express the poetically somber and somberly comical. Ephie is eternally versatile: his influences range from Billy Joel and the Beatles to REM, Bob Dylan, Green Day, Paul Simon and The Muppets (yes The Muppets).
Ephie’s debut album, I’ve Learned is a wonderful microcosm of his deeply spiritual sound and insightful lyrics. The album has truly taken his music to a level rivaled only by the very best.
