  • (1888PressRelease) February 17, 2011 - Los Angeles, Cailf.-- Renaissance woman, Jamie Jo Harris, arrived with excitement and glamour to the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year event honoring Barbara Streisand on February 11, 2011. Harris, a young Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, took inspiration from Streisand and continues to fulfill her passion for music through art.

Jamie Jo's music talent was recently recognized by legendary, nine-time Grammy Award-winning producer Rudy Pérez, who, following the receipt of her hit album In Violet (Odin Media), hand-picked Jamie Jo to compose a song to be presented to Leona Lewis. In addition, Pérez, along with his team, selected five songs from the collection to present to artists he works closely with, including Beyonce and Madonna.

Although music is her muse, Jamie Jo has recently combined her two other loves - fashion and philanthropy - to launch her signature jewelry line, Belle Coeur. A reflection of her rocker-chic style, the line's pieces embody the tone of her tunes with wings for freedom, hearts for love, and keys to unlock one's beautiful heart or "Belle Coeur." As founder and first President of the Young Society for Love & Hope-Diabetes Research Institute, Jamie Jo is an active and respected philanthropist, and has designated a portion of the proceeds from sales of her line to benefit the Diabetes Research Institute and Women of Tomorrow.
