Silver To Rust Productions' "Catharsis" Gets Green Light at a Los Angeles Film Festival

Film also debuts at The NewFilmmakers this Fall in New York City.


(1888PressRelease) July 13, 2008 - LOS ANGELES - Just days after being accepted at the NewFilmmakers Festival this fall in New York, Silver to Rust Productions' love story "Catharsis" receives approval for screening at the Los Angeles NewFilmmakers Festival July 24, 2008.

"This is really getting exciting and we are happy to have the chance to show our film to the public," said Executive Producer David Joshua Smith, Silver to Rust Productions. "It's very competitive and challenging as an independent filmmaker, and I look forward to meeting scores of others like myself attending."

MAYO Communications, an award-winning full service entertainment PR firm in Los Angeles, has been hired by Silver To Rust Productions, Pasadena, Calif., to promote its debut film, Catharsis.

The film will be premiered at the NewFilmmakers NY Festival, September 2, 2008, in New York City at Anthology Film Archives (32 Second Avenue, New York, NY 10009, 212-505-5110). The 11-minute film, Catharsis will be shown at 7:30 p.m. (media check in 5:15), on July 24th at the A&D museum on Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, admission is $5.

And in September, "Catharsis" will be screened at 6:00 p.m. at an event called NewFilmmakers presents another night at the movies in New York. It was written, directed and produced by David Joshua Smith. It stars Will Lupardus, Tara Battani and Ashley R. Brooks. The director of photography is Randy Arnold.
